Bob The Cat - Interview

Another video dedicated to Bob The Cat. Now if you don't know the story already, well back in 2007 a then homeless man named James bumped into a homeless ginger cat. James decided to take the Cat under his wing and accompanyed him for five years until in 2012 James was approached to write a book based on his adventures with Bob, the book was entitled "A Street Cat Named Bob" and was released in the summer of 2012 and managed to reach #1 in the book charts throughout the UK. Based on the success and popularity of Bob, James wrote a sequel for 2013 entitled "The World According to Bob". Based on all that, you'd think that James would be living in a big house somewhere and would have stopped busking the streets of London but that is not the case, you can still catch him out and about with Bob in and around London daily still busking and the public's reception to Bob couldn't be better. The Video above, is an interview on The One Show where James shows off some of Bob's tricks.

Facts of the day! (Tabby Cat)

1. The tabby pattern is found in many breeds, as well as among the general mixed-breed population.
2. The English term "tabby" comes from the 1630s, "striped silk taffeta," from the French "tabis," meaning "a rich, watered silk (originally striped)," from Middle French atabis (14c.), from Arabic attabiya, from Attabiy, a neighborhood of Baghdad where such cloth was first made, named for Prince 'Attab of the Umayyad Caliphate. Compare to Spanish "ataviar", meaning to decorate or to dress or wear (often implying very elegant and/or expensive clothing).

Due to the success and demand of Bob, a second book was written for 2013 titled "The World According To Bob". Both of the books are written by James himself.
